The Short Dragonfish (Eurypegasus draconis) is also known as the Sea Moth or Little Dragonfish. They can be found among rocky outcroppings and lagoons across the Indo-pacific Ocean. They are a very unique fish, with a very flat body, a long tube-like mouth, and large pectoral fins that resemble wings. They hide among rocks and substrate, using their odd colors to camouflage with their surroundings. They feed on small, benthic crustaceans, like copepods or baby brine shrimp. They require a peaceful tank with plenty of live food, and should be fed 2-3 times a day. Reaching a maximum size of 4 inches, E. draconis should not be kept with larger predatory fish.
