The Sabah Dottyback (Manonichthys alleni) can be found among reefs and rocky lagoons off the coast of Indonesia. They have grey or bluish bodies with a white caudal fin and red spots on their pectoral fins. They do best if kept singly (no others of their kind) and should have plenty of rocks to hide among for safety. They are carnivorous and should be fed a varied diet regularly, consisting of mysis, krill or brine. Reaching a maximum size of 4 inches, they should not be kept with larger, predatory fish. They may be semi-aggressive or territorial when defending their habitat.
