The Red Boring Sponge is a vibrant red sponge that grows on rockwork and coral. As the name suggests, it bores into the coral, overtaking it, in time, and killing it the host coral. This bein said, it is best kept in sponge-exclusive tanks or with seahorses, and it is not advised to place near prized colonies of corals. As is true for most sponges, they are filter feeders that require suspended nutrients in the water column.
