The Pajama Cardinal, Sphaeramia nematoptera, has a greenish yellow front half, divided by a black band in the middle of their body, followed by a spotted or polka dot dorsal region that is an off-white color with vibrant red-orange spots and elongated forked fins. They hardy and a great choice for a beginner. Since they are very peaceful and social fish, they are best kept in a peaceful reef tank and can even be kept in schools if the tank is large enough. I purchased 4 of these fish and they are wonderful to watch. All of mine will come to the front of the take as soon as they see me. Very peaceful to tankmates.

Not aggressive feeders. They grow slowly but are very peaceful. They do hide sometimes. Buy one more than you want as they come small. I kept mine separate until they ate better. I have mine in a tank with Tangs, Rabbitfish, and other smaller fish. Very peaceful.

Not a very bright colored fish but love how mellow he is. He just likes to watch what everyone's doing. Can't beat the price.

The fish was shipped extremely well, and it was a perfect addition to my reef tank. I acclimated according to the instructions, and I have had no problems with any of the fish I have received. What more can you ask for? Cheaper then my local fish store and it was delivered to my front door the next day.

I have 3 of these I bought here and had shipped to MN this November. The arrived on a 21 degree day but after slow drip acclimation made it and swim lazily around my 40gal Reef Tank. They are a colorful addition to my tank and interesting to watch. I did not know before but do now that they are night foragers, so I will have to start dropping some pellets in at night. They do well when I feed the tank twice a day with Mysis Shrimp.

These two guys have become the guardians of my mini rank. Hovering over their tank mates and making quick bursts whenever they have somewhere to go. Really cool colors and they fed soon after introduction into the community. Mysis shrimp and varied flakes are consumed . They like to stay up at night and roam. Very peaceful little buddies.
