The Blunt Spined Brittle Stars "Ophiocoma echinata" is a species of starfish with long, flexible limbs that have small pointed projections across their bodies. They come in colors of black, brown, and a combination of the two, they have grey/tan bands around  their limbs. They can grow to a max size of ten inches in limb diameter. They are incredible scavengers and need not be fed any supplemental food. They should be kept in tanks with plenty of liverock to allow it to hide and burrow. Brittle Stars, like other starfish, can regenerate their limbs if they are injured.
